Wreaths and Winter Wonder with Colonial Designs

Join us for a festive afternoon in the Formal Garden with Joe Brotzge from Colonial Designs! On December 7th, from 1-2pm, Joe will demonstrate how to create beautiful winter wreaths and seasonal planters that capture the spirit of the season. This hands-on experience will provide you with creative tips and techniques for decorating with hardy winter elements, both for indoor and outdoor arrangements.

Each ticket includes a “blank” wreath from Ford’s Firs, which you can customize using ribbons, holly, pinecones, and other natural accents provided by Haymarket. As a special addition, Joe will also showcase how to style empty planters of various sizes and tabletop vessels, giving you ideas to enhance your own space with winter charm.

Tickets are available for pre-purchase or as walk-ins, and the event is designed to cover the cost of materials and Joe’s expertise. About our Partner: 
Former owner and operator of Colonial Designs, Joe grew up in the family floral business. As a child his family lived behind the store front at 38th and Broadway . In 1963 the business relocated to its present location at 3712 Lexington Rd . It was at this location where he began his 40 year career in the floral industry that included weddings, parties, events, and Holiday decor. For the past 20 years he owned the business with his 2 sisters expanding the business to home interior furnishings and fashion.
